Marcus Pointe Feb 8-10 2012

Mack Duke wins At Marcus Pointe.
Mack Duke fired a opening round of 65 to take the
first round lead at Marcus Pointe. He followed that up with a 69-67-201
total and a four shot win over Jimmy Brandt. The Loxley AL native wins
$2500 for his victory. Duke who won on the spring tour last year in
Dothan shot a 37 on the front nine as Brandt was making his move. He got
within one of the lead but Duke’s back nine of 30 was to much for Brandt
to overcome. Brandt opened with a 73 67 and a brilliant 65 in the final
round. He collected $1000 . Nick Rousey of Pensacola finished third with
a 70-67-70- 207 and wins $700. Also a nice 66 in the final round and a
210 total from David Miller of Daphne AL. Next up is Stonebrook.
Bay Point Nicklaus Jan 31 - Feb 2 2012
Brandt wins for third time on the Winter Tour
Jimmy Brandt shot a final round 66 for a three
round total of 209 to win the Emerald Coast Golf Tour Bay Point winter
event and collect $2500. Brandt started the final round 2 strokes
behind second round leader Zach Primavera. Both guys were tearing up the
front side as Brandt shot a 3under 33 on the front and lost ground as
Primavera shot a 32. On the back nine Brandt stayed hot with another 33
for a competitive course record 66. Primavera had a little bad luck on
the back nine and finished the day with a 72. His 69-72-72-213 earned
him $1100. Third place was Kyle Ellis of Senatobia TN with rounds of
80-70-68-218 and $800. 4th place was Scott Tashie of Memphis TN with
rounds of 74-74-74-222 and wins $650. Tough conditions the first two
days made the scores high for the entire field.What a great course and
we look forward to coming back soon.
Camp Creek Jan 18-20 2012

Primavera wins At Camp Creek.
Zach Primavera of Lynn Haven FL Opened with a 68 in
the first round of the Emerald Coast tour event to take the lead. He
followed with a 73 and a final round 70 to win the Camp Creek winter
tour event by 4 strokes. Zach collects $2500 for his win. His 211 total
was 4 better than Nationwide Tour player Josh Broadaway. The Dothan
Resident shot 70-74-71-215 and won $1100. Jimmy Brandt of Auburn AL,
winner of the first two events of the year finished third with a
71-76-72-218 total and wins $800. Kyle Ellis of Memphis Tn finished 4th
with a 78-72-71-221 and wins $675. Windy conditions on the second and
third day sent most of the scores in the field way up. Low Amateur is
Steven Day of Gulfport MS with a 231 total. Congratulations to Zach for
a great tournament in some really tough conditions. Next up Is Bay

Bay Pointe (Meadows) Jan 17-19 2012

Jimmy Brandt wins back to back to start the new
year. After taking a 2 shot lead with a opening 69, he closed with
74-70 213 total and a 9 shot win. Rick Whitely of Panama City Fl and
Lance Williams of Tallahassee FL both picked up their first Emerald
Coast tour checks. Whitely shot 71-74-77 for a 222 total. Williams
posted a 78-74-70-222. Each collected $625. Congratulations to both of
them. Low amateur was Jason Severson from Andover MN. What a great
course the Bay Point Meadows is. We look forward to playing the Bay
Point Nicklaus course in a couple of weeks.

Jimmy Brandt wins the first
event of the year. Jimmy Brandt of Auburn
Al shoots a final round 70 to win the Emerald Coast Tour Hombre
classic. His three round scores of 72-77-70- 219 was good enough for a
three shot win over Ben Bates. Jimmy collected $2500 for the win. Bates
shoots 76-75-71-222 and wins $1000. Third place was Zach Primavera of
Lynn Haven FL with scores of 76-74-75-225 and wins $550. Windy
conditions and a little rain the first day contributed to the overall
field shooting some higher scores at the Hombre.

Michael Smith and Greg Sonnier

Sonnier and Smith Win Two Man Team Championship.
Greg Sonnier of Lake Charles LA and Michael Smith of Lafayette LA win
the Two Man team Championship by one stroke over Nick Rousey and David
Miller. They opened the first round shooting a 6 under par 66 in the
modified/alternate shot. They had a 62 in Wednesday's Scramble format
and shot a final round 65 in the best ball format for a total of 193.
They both won $2400 each for the victory. Nick Rousey and David Miller
shot 67-61-66-194 and both collected $1400 each. Tieing for third was
the teams Of Will Wilcox and Jimmy Brandt and Gator Todd and Patton
Kizzire with 196 total. Each won $100 each.
Osborn Wins Fall Championship
Garrett Osborn Of Birmingham Al shot rounds of
67-67-67-201 to win the 2011 Fall Championship at Indian Bayou . He
collected $8000 for the victory. Nick Rousey of Pensacola FL had
rounds of 69-67-68-204 and finished second. He received $2000 for his
efforts. Nick is the Emerald Coast Tours leading money winner this
year. Last year’s champion Scott Parel of Augusta GA shot
69-73-69-211 and finished third. He received $1200. Ben Bates of Pace
Fl shot 73-69-71-213 and finished 4th. Chase Blaich of
Defuniak Springs Fl playing in his first Emerald Coast tour event
finished 5th with rounds of 73-72-71-216 and won $700. Kyle
Ellis of Memphis Tn Shot 72-69-76 and finished 6th. The
Team of professional Mason Crumpler and amateurs Todd Willams, Bryan
Owens and Mickey Aubain win the Team format with a two day score of
249. Good luck to Scott Parel Ben Bates and Nick Rousey as they will
playing in the Pga Tour second stage next week. Thanks to Indian Bayou

Holiday

Nick Rousey wins the first event of the Winter
season shooting 70-70-67- 207 to win and collect $3000. Mack Duke and
Glenn Northcutt tied for second at 209. Each collected $850. Northcutt
shot rounds of 70-70- 69 -209 and finished 2 strokes back. Duke’s second
round 65 tied the course record set by Tommy Bell in a Emerald Coast
tour event two years ago. Thanks to Jimbo Carlisle and Holiday staff for
their hospitality.
Northcutt wins the Panama City Beach Classic
After shooting 30 on the back nine and a final
round 66 Northcutt wins the Panama City Beach Classic. Northcutt who is
from Dothan Al shoots 70-73-66 for a 209 total. He collected $5800 for
the win. Jason Dillard finished one stroke behind after shooting rounds
of 76-67-67-210. He received $2000 for his second place finish. Ben
Bates who was last year’s winner of this event was looking to repeat and
had the lead going into the final round. A 70-69 had given Bates a 4
shot lead going into the final round. After a final round 73 Bates ended
up in third .He collected $1250 . Panama City’s Chris Devlin had a final
round 69 to finish 4 at 214 and win $1000. Jay Mcluen of
Forsyth GA playing in his first Emerald Coast event end up at even par
216 to collect $800. Danny Forshey of Montgomery Al end up in 6
place with a one over par 217 and win $700. Jason Dillard, Steve
Mc Bride, Greg Mcbride, and Stan Hudson win the Pro-Am. Ben Bates ,
George Roberts, J J Mahaffey and Skip Mcelhenny finished second, Danny
Forshey, James Chapman, Michael Smith and Dave Fallon finished third.

Playing in his first Emerald Coast
tour event of the year , Brandon Anthony shoots 74-69-71-214 and wins
the Summerbrooke Invitational. Anthony collected $3500 for the win.
Defending Champion Kyle Sapp finished one shot back after shooting
steady rounds of 71-73-71-215. He received $1750 for the second place
finish. Second round leader Kris Hannah of Tallahassee and Nate Rau of
Cummings Ga tied for third at 216. Each received $1000 each. Hannah ,
Sapp and Anthony all battled down the stretch for the title. The turning
point was when Anthony eagled the 14th hole and Sapp made a
double bogey. Hannah made a couple of bogeys coming in and Anthony hung
on for the victory. David Hoover ,Dustin Grubbs, Larry Tromley and Mike
Murphey won the Pro-Am with a 125 total.
Marcus Beck was the low amateur of the tournament. Thanks to Sam
Funderburk and the Summerbrooke Golf Club for a great event. Also

Montgomery, AL, Friday, July 22.
Winner Garrett Osborn of Birmingham AL shoots 15 under par with
scores of 64, 62, 72 total of 198 to win $10,000 in the Emerald Coast
Golf Tour Summer Championship.
Danny Forshey of Montgomery finished tied for 2nd with Jimmy
Brandt of Auburn, AL with a total score of 200.
Defending champion Matthew Swann also of Montgomery finished 4th
with a 201 total. Brandon
Holt of Madison, AL shot a final round 69 which included a "hole in one"
on # 11.
Clark Brown sets course
record at Azalea City 2011

Clark Brown shot a course record 63 in the opening
round of the Emerald Coast tour Mobile event. Brown had 9 birdies and no
bogies and opened a 6 shot lead after the first round. His second round
of 72 kept him in the lead by 2 over Jason Dillard. Browns final round
of 71 and 206 total was good enough for a 4 shot win. The tour has had a
different winner in all of its spring events this year. Jason Dillard of
Birmingham and Glenn Northcutt of Dothan Al tied for second at 210 and
each collected $1300. Rocky Cleland of Hattiesburg MS finished 4th
at 211 and collected $850. Holt Rast of Birmingham shot a 3 under par
213 and finished 5th to win $700. Thanks to head pro Lawrence Auer for hosting the
Emerald Coast tour event.
Nate Rau wins Graysin Valley 2011

After a second place finish in Anniston and a
third place finish at Shalimar the past few weeks, Nate Rau finally
found his way in the winner’s circle and collected the $8000 first
prize. Rau shot rounds of 70 69 69 -208 total for a one stroke victory
over the always steady Glenn Northcutt. Northcutt shot rounds of
69-71-69- 207 and a 209 total . Northcutt received $1900 for his finish.
Rau also had a second place finish at Dancing Rabbit earlier this year
and had the second round lead in Dothan before finishing third there.
Today was his day as he cruised in for a one shot victory and the
Grayson valley title. There was a logjam at 212 with six players. Holt
Rast and Payton Osborn of Birmingham. Parker Rush of Germantown TN ,
Clark Brown of Navarre FL, Brooks Lee of Mobile Al and Kyle Sapp of
Gardendale AL. All received $616 for their finish. Clark Brown won the
Pro-Am with amateurs Mickey Donohue, Greg Crews and Ken Madison. Thanks
to the Wiregrass Construction Company and the Birmingham Convention and
Visitors Bureau for their support of this event.
Jason Dillard wins at Cane Creek 2011

After
getting a speeding ticket on the way to the course before the first
round and starting off bogey, bogey things would get better for Jason Dillard.
He rebounded with three birdies on the front side and three more on the
back to shoot a first round 67. This gave him a one shot lead going into
the final round over Nick Rau who posted a 68. Jordan Anderton and Jimmy
Brandt shot 69 to remain 2 shots back going to the final round. Dillard
remained solid on the last day shooting a final round 66 and cruised to
a 4 shot win. Rau, who has been knocking on the door the last few weeks
continued his fine play shooting a final round 69 for a 137 total. Danny
Forshey of Montgomery Al shot 70-69 -139 and finished third. Jimmy
Brandt finished 4th with a 69-72-141 total. Tieing for 5th
was Darryl Slye of Navarre Fl and Brennan Clay of Anniston Al with a 142
total. Dillard wins $5000 for the tournament and wins an
additional $500 for playing the Srixon golf ball. Thanks to
Srixon for their wonderful support of our event as all the players love
the new golf ball. On the amateur side, Frank Brady wins the low amateur
championship with a 73-68-141 total. In a playoff with all the amateur
flight winners Mike Fincher takes home the title as the 2011 Ft
McClellan Pro-Invitational Champion. A special thanks to Curt Sasser and
Rich Santagata for their support in this year’s event.
Holton Wins Drex Guthrie Classic 2011

Fred Holton captured the inaugural Drex Guthrie
classic by one shot over Nick Rousey. After a second round course
record of 61, Holton opened up a 4 shot lead heading into the final
round. His 61 set a course record and tied the Emerald Coast Tour record
of 61 held by Steve Ford and Joe Hamorski. On the final day Holten shot
a one over 37 on the front nine as the tournament begin to get closer.
Jimmy Brandt and Nick Rousey and Britt Pavelonis were all making their
move. Holton rallied with a 33 on the back nine and with a closing
birdie on the last hole finished with a one shot win over Nick Rousey
who eagled 18 and forced Holton to make his birdie putt for the victory.
This was a great event for the Troy County Club and the tournament was
in honor of Drex Guthrie. Drex grew up on the Troy Country club course
and also played with golf with some current PGA tour players. The
tournament raised over $8000 to some local charities within the
Troy community. Jordan Anderton’s team won the Pro-Am along with amateur
partners, J G Flowers, Mike Davis and Bob Carter.
Dothan Classic 2011

A final round 66 allowed Mack Duke to come from
behind and win his first Professional event. This was also his first
event on the Emerald Coast Golf Tour and he collected $8000 for the win.
A birdie on the second hole allowed Duke to win the Dothan Classic over
Steve Friesen. Duke shot a 68-75-66 for a 209 total. Freisen posted a
71-68-70 for his 209. Second round leader Nathan Rau open with rounds of
67-66 and had a six shot lead going into the final round. After a final
round of 77 Rau missed a birdie putt on 18 that would have put him in
the playoff. He tied with Brian Rowell of Lafayette LA and both
collected $1600 for their efforts. Chris Devlin finished fifth with
rounds of 67-73-71-211. He collected $1200. Clark Brown from Navarre FL
and local Favorite Heath West tied for 6th and won $875
each. Local high school player Tol Dozier who recently signed a
scholarship Troy University shot a 1 under par 215 total. Danny Forshey
of Montgomery AL shot a even par 216 to win 8th place and win
$350. Nathan Rau’s team also won the Pro-Am event with amateurs Terry
Ingram, Garnett Rigsby, and Earl Payne.
Holiday Golf Club 2011

Jimmy Brandt wins at the Holiday Golf Club in Panama City Beach.
Brandt who has conditional status on the Nationwide tour shoots a 67-68
-135 for a 135 total and a 4 shot win. Glenn Northcutt finished second
shooting a 69-70-139 and collected $1000 Michael Gordy of Clarkesville G
A finished third after shooting 69-72 for a 141 total and wins $560
Dancing Rabbit Golf Club
Nick Rousey wins season opener at Dancing Rabbit. After opening with
a 72 on the Tom Fazio Oaks course. Rousey blistered the Jerry Pate
designed Azalea course with a second round 63. This tied a course record
there. After a final round 69 Nick had a 4 shot win with a 204 total. He
won $8000 for his efforts. Nathan Rau from Cummings GA, had a final
round 66 to finish with a 208 total and collect $1700. Glenn Northcutt
and Jason Dillard finished in a tie for 3rd and 4th at 214 and won $900
each. Ben Bates finished 5th at 215 and won $650
Emerald Coast Golf Tour Team Championship

Kyle Ellis and Doug Barron win the Two man Team Championship!! Kyle
Ellis and Doug Barron win the Two man team championship at Shalimar
Pointe by one stroke over Nick Rousey and David Miller. Both teams were
tied going into the long 16th par 3 hole and a long 40 footer made by
the Barron Ellis team gave them a one shot lead going to the tough 17th
hole. A great par save at 17 kept them in the lead heading to the final
hole. Both teams birdied 18 for an exciting finish to the three day
event and collect the $4000 first prize.They shot rounds of 64 (best
ball) 65 (Modified Alt Shot) and a final round of 61 for a 190 total.
Nick Rousey and David had the second round lead with a 63 (scramble) and
65 Modified Alt shot and closed with a 63 on the scramble format. They
collected $2520 for the team. Finishing third one stroke back of them
was the team of Garrett Osborn and Kyle Sapp. They shot rounds of
64(best ball) 66 modified alt shot and 62 (scramble) for a 192 total and
collect $1600. Kyle Sapp finished the year as the tour Money leader.

Fall Championship Indian Bayou

Scott Parel wins the 2010 Fall Championship at Indian Bayou golf club
in Destin FL. The Augusta native shot 68-66-66 -201 for a three shot win
over Kyle Sapp of Gardendale AL. Sapp shot rounds of 69-65 69-203 and
collected $1700. His second round 65 tied the Indian Bayou competitive
course record. Parel is the first two time winner of the annual Fall
Championship that was started back in 1992. He received $6000 for his
win. Third place was Kyle Ellis of Memphis TN with a three round total
of 209. He collected $1100. Former 2005 champion Payton Osborn of
Birmingham AL finished 4th with a 210 total. Jason Helmke finished 5th
with a 211 total. Helmke also won the Pro-Am team format with Jim Helmke
and Mike Fletcher. The Pro sponsor shootout was won by Jason Helmke and
Richard Corley in a chip off with Jon Seeling and Tommy Murray.
Hattiesburg Pro-Am Classic

Rocky Cleland wins Playoff. It took 4 holes but Rocky Cleland of
Hattiesburg MS prevailed as the Shadow Ridge champion over Jon Diggetts
of Laurel MS. Cleland birdied the 4th playoff hole. Cleland opened with
rounds of 71-70 to take a 4 shot lead over Matt Fast. Diggetts charged
on the front nine with a 31 to tie for the lead. He would bogey the last
hole and finish with a final round 68 to force the playoff. Cleland shot
a final round 74 for a 215 total. The former Southern Miss University
golfer collected $2500 for the win. Matt Fast finished 3rd with a 215
total to collect $800.
2010 Summerbrooke Pro-Am Classic

Kyle Sapp wins the Summerbrooke Classic in Tallahassee FL by one
stroke with rounds of 72-75-73 -220 and collected $4000 for his efforts.
Lots of players had a chance to win this exciting event. Tied for the
lead on the last hole Sapp made a routine par for the one shot victory.
Tied with Jon Oswalt on the last hole, Oswalt finished with a double
bogey on the final hole to lose by two. Already in the clubhouse was
Tommy Murray of Orange Park FL with a 5 over 221 total and Greg
Blackwell of Miami FL who also finished at 221. They both received $1000
each for their finish. Second Round leader Kenny Knox finished with a
final round 76 to fall back in a tie with Oswalt at 222. J P Phillips
finished 6th at 224 despite making a quadruple bogey on the final hole.

2010 Panama City Classic

Ben Bates wins the Hombre Classic by 6 strokes over Nick Rousey and
Jon Oswalt. Bates who currently lives in Pace Fl shot a 68 65 68 for a
201 total and collected $7000 for his win. Rousey of Pensacola FL shot a
70 69 68 207 and tied for second with Jon Oswalt of Auburn Al who shot
rounds of 72-68 67 for a 207 total. Each collected $1350 for their
efforts. J P Vander Walt from South Africa finished 4th with a 70- 70
-68 total to collect $700 Ben Bates also won the Pro-Am event title with
his team of George Roberts; Chris Sumner and Skip Mcilhenny with .
Coming in second was the team of Si Clemo and A.L Kirkland; Paul Massey
and Ken Yates. 3rd place was Tommy Murray Wes Burnham; Dan McGrath and
Jeff Dibenidictis.
Arrowhead Country Club Summer Championship

Matthew Swan blitzes field and wins the Montgomery Classic at
Arrowhead Country Club. Matthew Swan, from Montgomery, AL, played
flawless golf for three days, making only one bogey. His 65-66-68 three
day total was good enough for a 8 shot win over Wyn Lakes Pro, Steve
Cutler, who shot 71-69-67 for a 207 total. Third place belonged to Kyle
Sapp of Gardendale, AL who was at 209 and had a double eagle in his
second round 68 on the par 5 18th hole. Sapp hit a Driver for his second
shot on the hole. Fourth place with a score of 212 was tied by Todd
Bailey of Mobile, Al and Chris Devlin of Panama City Beach, FL. Swan's
first event on the Emerald Coast Golf Tour was his first professional
win for the former University of Alabama golfer.
2010 Cane Creek Pro Invitational

Jammie Lett wins his first Emerald Coast Tour event. After opening up
with a 6 under par 66 to take the lead, He came right back with a 65 to
take a ten shot lead heading into the final round over Jonathan Brand.
As Lett shot a 40 on the front nine a charge was being put by Brennon
Clay who shot a 4 under 32 on the opening nine. Starting 13 strokes back
Clay would eventually get within two strokes of the lead and finish with
a 65. His second place of 209 earned him $1100.Third place belonged to
Pope Spruell of Tuscaloosa AL shooting a 215 total and earn $800. After
a final round of 76 Lett hung on for a 2 shot win and a 207 total in the
Pro division in the inaugural Anniston Invitational Cane Creek Open . Bo
Savage won in a shootout to claim the trophy as the overall winner in
the Cane Creek event.
2010 Azalea City Pro-Am Classic

Joel Durrance from Ocala FL blitzes the Field in Mobile AL. With
rounds of 70-67 for a 137 total, the rising senior at Flagler College
was very steady for two days as he posted his first win of the year. Tom
Murray of Orange Park FL and Jacob Collinsworth of Fairhope AL tied for
second with a 140 total. Each collected a $1,075 prize for their play.
Tied for 4th and 5th was Greg Blackwell of Miami FL and Todd Bailey of
Spanish Fort AL. Both shot a 141 total. Next up on the Schedule July
12-13 @ Shalimar Pointe
2010 Birmingham Classic

Kyle Sapp of Gardendale, AL birdies the final hole to avoid a
four-way playoff and wins the Birmingham Classic by one stroke. The
Grayson Valley golf course played tough as slick greens and high rough
tested players all week. Kyle shot a 70 on the final day for a two day
total of 142. First round leader Jason Dillard (who opened with a 70)
shot a final round of 73 to finish in a tie for second with Bradley Long
of Birmingham, AL, and Jonathan Brand of Moody, AL.
2010 Pensacola Open

Tommy Murray of Orange Park FL is the 2010 Pensacola Open champion.
Holding on to a one stroke lead over amateur champion Si CLemo, Tommy
made par on the final hole to end up with a two stroke victory. Second
place in the pro division was Jacob Collinsworth of Fairhope AL. Third
place in the pro division was Brooks Lee of Mobile and Geno Celano of
Destin finished fourth. Si Clemo of Panama City is the winner of the
Championship A division. Richard Harper of Pensacola wins the
championship B division. Bryan Owens of Milton wins the First flight
division.
