Northcutt Captures the Dothan Pro Classic at Highland Oaks

Glenn Northcutt playing in his first Emerald Coast event of the year showed little signs of rust. His three round scores of 71-68-68-207 was good for a 4 shot win over Luke Moser and Michael Arnaud who finished at 211. Northcutt who is from Dothan was the Emerald Coast Tour’s leading money winner last year. This was his first victory in his hometown. Northcutt started the day tied with Jacob Harper of Valley AL. After a front nine of 33 which included a eagle 2 on the par 4 number nine Northcutt had a 3 shot lead over Luke Moser who made the turn at 2 under. Jacob Harper was two over at the turn but rallied with a 35 on the back to finish in a tie for fourth at 212 with Jake Tucker. Tucker  was last year’s champion at Dothan National Resort and Spa.

The Highland Oaks course was in good shape for the event and will be getting ready for the PGA tour qualifying school this fall.

The Pro Am was won by Cam Norman, Tony Blocker, Joe Armstrong and Keith Blackmon.
